Frogs, Giclée print

In this painting, I intended to capture the timeless beauty and boundless wonder of the deeply cherished summer days from my childhood. I used to spend every summer in a village at my aunt's house and there was a small narrow river that meandered gracefully in front of it. The water in the picture represents that river with its gentle flow and ever-changing depths and symbolizes the endless possibilities and discoveries that awaited me during those carefree summer days. Each step I took along its banks felt like a journey into the unknown, with the water sometimes rising up to my chest and other times barely covering my toes. It was a playground of natural wonder, where every twist and turn revealed new surprises and delights. Surrounded by towering trees on both sides, the river seemed to stretch on forever, its path disappearing into the verdant embrace of the woods at the edge of the village. The thick canopy overhead filtered the sunlight into a mesmerizing tapestry of dappled patterns, casting rays of golden light upon the water's surface. It was a sight that filled me with awe and wonder, as if I were witnessing a glimpse of heaven itself. Amidst this breathtaking scenery, frogs always danced and played, adding their own touch of whimsy to the landscape. Their joyful leaps and bounds echoed the boundless energy and curiosity that fuelled my childhood adventures, reminding me of the simple pleasures and magic of the natural world. This artwork is a tribute to the wonder and innocence of childhood and a testament to the enduring power of nature to inspire and uplift the human spirit timeless beauty.
