Her collection: Harvest, Giclée print

Each year, since I began my journey as an artist, I've asked my wife what painting she would like on her birthday. In this ongoing tradition, her ideas guide my creations, turning each canvas into a heartfelt tribute to our shared experiences and the bond we cherish. 

I've created "harvest" from a picture of a land that my father had passed down to me. We took the photo the first time that my father had showed the land to us. Bathed in the warm glow of golden tones, the rolling hill stands as a testament to love and tradition. Hay bales rise proudly against a backdrop of endless blue skies, symbolizing the resilience and hard work of generations past - not only the physical labour but also the profound connection to tradition and the understanding that the fruits of our labour are rooted in the soil of our ancestors. Working the land represents to me more than just a means of sustenance; it is a sacred duty, a way of honouring those who came before us and ensuring a legacy for those who will follow. In "Harvest," this importance of working the land is depicted and celebrated as a cornerstone of our existence, a source of strength, and a bridge between past, present, and future.
