"June" Still Life, Giclée Print

I was inspired to create a series comprising 12 paintings, each dedicated to a specific month of the year, making use of subjects and colours that I associate with each month.

For June, I chose a rustic wooden board adorned with berries, painting a picture of abundance and warmth. The composition is a nod to simplicity, allowing the textures of the wooden surface to complement the organic shapes and hues of the berries. The natural texture of the board brings authenticity to the scene. This still life encapsulates the sensory experience of the month — the sweet aroma of ripe berries, the touch of the wooden board beneath fingertips, and the visual delight of a palette that mirrors the richness of opportunities that summer brings.
