"Mahatma Gandhi" Giclée Print

Mahatma Gandhi, a leader in India's struggle for independence, inspired many through his promotion of nonviolent civil disobedience, interfaith acceptance, and advocacy for peace and freedom. I was inspired by the film "Gandhi" to create his portrait.

Albert Einstein once remarked that future generations might find it hard to believe such an extraordinary figure existed. Gandhi's influence extended to Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King, John Lennon, and others. His nonviolent philosophy demanded immense courage and moral fortitude. It involved refraining from responding to physical force with physical means, serving as a reflective mirror for oppressors. I aim to cultivate this bravery and moral strength within myself, drawing inspiration from these remarkable individuals who were willing to sacrifice their lives for their beliefs. Creating this portrait of Mahatma Gandhi has allowed me to reflect on the values and principles he embodied.
