"September" Landscape, Giclée Print

I was inspired to create a series of 12 landscapes, one for each month of the year and to make use of subjects and colours that I associate with every month. Each work was completed en plein air, in one sitting. 

Set by the river Skerne in Darlington, this particular artwork is an ode to the scenery I often enjoy during my walks along the riverbanks. Executed in one sitting on a beautiful, sunny day in September, the picture radiates the warmth and peaceful ambiance of autumn. The water's surface reflects the vibrant hues of the surrounding foliage, creating a harmonious blend of greens and earthy tones, while the gentle flow of the river is mirroring a calm and unhurried pace of life.
